Terms
Terms of service
The agreement
These terms are between you and Verso Inc., a Delaware C corporation at 1100 Congress Avenue, Suite 720, Austin, TX 78701. By creating an account or using Verso you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you have the authority to do so.
We have written these in plain English on purpose. It would be strange to sell a product about clear communication and then hide behind four thousand words of our own.
Your content stays yours
Recordings, transcripts, voice samples and every output Verso generates from them are yours. You grant us only the limited licence needed to run the service: to process your transcript, send it to a model provider to produce your outputs, and store the results for you.
We do not use your content to train models. We do not sell it. We do not share it with anyone other than the model provider producing your outputs, under terms that prohibit them from training on it. You can delete any project, or your entire account, at any time.
Your account
- You need an account, and the information on it must be accurate.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your credentials to yourself.
- One person per seat. Studio plan seats are named; contact us if a seat needs to transfer.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone else is using your account.
What you may not do
- Submit recordings or transcripts you do not have the right to use, or that contain someone else's voice without their consent.
- Use Verso to produce content that impersonates another person, or that presents fabricated quotes as real ones.
- Resell or white-label the service or its outputs as your own content-generation product without a written agreement with us.
- Attempt to extract our system prompts or scrape the service in bulk.
- Upload malware, or deliberately try to break the service for other users.
Outputs and what you publish
Verso rewrites moments found in your own recording. Every generated clip, caption, thread and post is derived from what you submitted, and the moment it references is real. That said, you review and approve everything before it is published. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you put out, and for any edits you make to generated drafts.
Verso is a repurposing tool, not a fact-checker. If you change a generated line before posting, the change is yours.
Plans, payment and cancelling
- The Creator plan is $19 a month and Studio is $49 a month, in US dollars. Annual billing is ten months for twelve, charged once at the start of the year.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. We will not hide the cancel button, and we will not require a phone call.
- Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep read access to projects you have already generated.
- If we raise prices, existing subscribers keep their price for at least 12 months and get 30 days' notice.
- Refunds: if something we did stopped Verso working for you, email us and we will refund the affected period. We would rather give the money back than argue about it.
Availability
We aim for Verso to be available and we publish incidents on the status page. We do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee at this stage of the company, and we would rather say so than promise one we have not built the redundancy to keep.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to Verso is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost revenue from content you did not post.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Ending it
You can stop using Verso and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and where we reasonably can we will tell you why first and give you a chance to export your projects.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts in Travis County, Texas. Both parties waive a jury trial. We have not included an arbitration clause, because we would rather not rely on one.
Changes
If we change these terms materially, we will email account holders at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Verso after that means you accept the new version. This version is effective August 1, 2025.
The fuller explanation of how Verso handles your transcript and what we do and do not do with it is on the care page. Questions about anything here go to hello@tryverso.tech and a person will answer.
